The METROFOOD-EPI project invites stakeholders from the agrifood sector to join the upcoming Open Event in Rome, where experts and researchers will explore innovative solutions and strategies to address the unprecedented challenges facing the industry. The event will focus on how research infrastructures can drive collaboration between the scientific community and industry to pave the way for a sustainable and competitive future in agrifood systems.

This year-long project, launched in January 2024, aims to strengthen METROFOOD-RI as a key research infrastructure, enhancing its ability to support the sector with valuable services, from food safety to sustainable food systems. The event will highlight the results achieved so far and outline the next steps for advancing these efforts.

Key topics will include:

  • Opportunities for young researchers to contribute to the sector’s growth.
  • Presentations on sustainable food systems, data valorization, and emerging research in food technologies.
