METROFOOD Spain (METROFOOD-ES) is the spanish node of the European research infrastructure named METROFOOD-RI, whose purpose is to provide high level metrology services for enhancing food quality & safety.
As part of the METROFOOD-RI consortium, the spanish node is committed to enhance food security, quality, and sustainability across the food value chain through cutting-edge research and collaboration at a European level.
We aim to foster interaction among various stakeholders to create a shared database that contains relevant knowledge and a range of multidisciplinary approaches across diverse fields of application, such as agri-food, sustainable development, food quality, safety, traceability, authenticity, environmental safety, consumer sciences, and human health.
Research activities cover the whole food chain: from agrifood primary production up to final consumption
Research activities encompass the entire food chain and associated services, from primary agrifood production to final consumption. The goal is to support sustainable food production and consumption, enhance food quality and safety, ensure traceability and authenticity, and optimize each step from farm to fork with a holistic approach.
